Benfleet Camera Club - Studio Nights

For members wishing to improve their studio or portraiture skills the club holds regular studio nights on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month throughout the year, including the summer months.
Professional studio lighting equipment is provided for these shoots with male, female models and the option of still life. For any special nights such as a paid model or a tutorial run by a guest presenter then a non-refundable fee is announced at the same time as announcement of the evening and taken in advance of the evening to ensure sufficient members will be attending to cover the cost.
Special evenings may be announced (possibly twice in the season) for members covering a talk and/or demo on setting-up the studio lights and different effects and /or how to set-up & use their cameras for studio and general photography.
A small charge approx, £3.50 is made on the night to cover the hire of the hall and use of the equipment. A majority of the models we use are volunteers, therefore after each Studio Night, photographers must provide four 10 x 8, A4 or as near as possible size, quality prints for each model from the photographs they have taken during that evening. This helps the model obtain studio experience and to build a portfolio of prints at little or no cost.
